Each year, the Brew Bus brewery converts into a 9-hole mini-golf course to raise money for a local charity. This year they have chosen to partner with us, the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, and we couldn’t be more excited. The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding research to eliminate childhood cancer. Their focus is to find less toxic, more targeted therapies by partnering with leading hospitals nationwide.
This year’s event features an extra special addition. Brew Bus has partnered with Cigar City Brewing and NPCF to brew a Gooseberry & Grapefruit IPA to raise money for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. All proceeds raised from this beer will go directly to the NPCF to fund research. This beer can be enjoyed on draft and in six-packs at Brew Bus Brewing, Cigar City Brewing and at select locations throughout the Tampa Bay area.
“We are excited to partner with two great breweries in Tampa Bay to create this beer and continue to raise funds and awareness for pediatric cancer” says Dave Frazer, CEO of The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
Over the last two years Brew Bus has been able to raise over $10,000 with their Putts and Pints charity event. This year, their goal is raise an additional $10,000 for the NPCF, bringing their total funds raised with the Putts and Pints brand to $20,000 in 3 years.
